It does this by providing an organisation and forum for students, ideas, teachers and practitioners of geography to share knowledge, opinions and activities about the science of geography and geographical education. Gawa's main objective is to encourage the advancement, education, promotion and practice of the science of geography in western australia.

We aim to do this by providing a member's association and forum for students, teachers and lovers of Geography to share their knowledge, ideas, opinions and activities about the science of Geography and Geographical education. gaga currently publishes a number of textbooks for the teaching learning of geography in WA. The award will be adjudicated on excellence and therefore each school will be needed to make a determination as to whether their superior entry at each year is worthy of submission, as only one entry per year level per school will be permitted. Fieldwork is a motivating and possible way of engaging in the skills and knowledge of Geography. The Geographical Association of Western Australia is honored to remember and recognize the contribution and promote of Dr Gentilli to both our Association and to geographical education in WA through: GeogSpace has been designed to produce materials to promote primary and lesser teachers in implementing the Australian Curriculum: Geography. It has been developed by AGTA's team of practicing geography teachers, dedicated to ensuring all schools across Australia have access to a unique resource that reflects best practice using stylish technology and pedagogues. GeogSpace offers quality primary and lesser geography resource materials for all teachers of geography, including those that are very experienced and those honest commencing their involvement. The materials will promote teachers to flourish their knowledge, skills and pedagogical capacity to teach geography of the greatest quality. The gaga office receives a number of inquiries over the course of the year for tutors and gaga is willing to provide your details to prospective parents and students. The Geographical Association of Western Australia (gaga) main objective is to encourage, in various ways, the advancement, education, promotion and practice of the science of geography in Western Australia. It does this by providing an organization and forum for students, teachers and practitioners of geography to share knowledge, ideas, opinions and activities about the science of geography and geographical education. Since its formation in the early 1970s, gaga has been serving teachers of Geography, lesser students and preservice teachers throughout Western Australia. In 2013, gaga opened its membership to WA primary teachers of geography and commenced providing professional learning opportunities to help primary teachers in the implementation of the fresh Western Australian Curriculum: Geography. A fresh format for our Bulletin will be introduced in 2016 as gaga increasingly moves to using electronic and social media platforms. This national competition, which in 2017, attracted entrants from over 100 schools and over 90,00 entries nationwide, is a joint initiative of the Australian Geography Teachers’ Association and the Royal Geographical Society of Queensland. These examinations have proved extremely popular with teachers throughout the state. Members are now given the finest of the format of the Bulletin they receive an electronic version (emailed with color photos etc) of the Bulletin or a firm copy (as per previous occasions). Byron North more has won this year's award. Delight note that the Year 10 sample is an example of what can be achieved rather than it being a defining comparative benchmark which all must meet. To the task. Fieldwork is a motivating and attainable way of engaging in the skills and knowledge of the Australian Curriculum. AGTA has produced a teacher resource DVD especially for the AC.
