TLG (Teach Learn Grow Inc.) provides tutoring and mentoring services free of charge to rural, indigenous and socioeconomically deprived Western Australian students, with the aim of overcoming poverty and disadvantage through education. You can find more information on our website or by emailing us. Whilst the referred students remain at the centre you will be offered the discount. If you refer a student to the TLG Tutoring Centre you will be eligible to receive 10% off, up to a total of 40% off your tuition fees. Parents are offered a unique opportunity in which they are simultaneously ensuring the potential of their own child is realised, and enhancing the education of disadvantaged rural and indigenous students. Follow the Social Scholarship prompts in the registration form. If you are a student from a high school with an ICSEA below 950 (You can find your school’s ICSEA at myschool website) or have a parent with a Centrelink Health Care Card) you may be eligible for a Social Scholarship. We believe continuity is extremely important for knowledge retention, so we ensure the student is always paired with the same tutor for the same subject. Students are carefully paired with tutors according to subject expertise. High school students are offered premium 1-to-1 tuition by Perth’s top university students, Teach Learn Grow’s alumni boasts 2 Rhodes Scholars, 3 Beazley medalists and over 20 Fogarty Scholars. Our not-for-profit status ensures that all proceeds go towards providing more free tutoring and mentoring to disadvantaged rural and indigenous primary students in our successful Rural Program. Tutors are paid $23/h. Students from other schools are charged $50/h. Students from low ICSEA schools can apply for a Social Scholarship which entails free tuition and a transport bursary.
